Massive gold deposit worth 80 billion dollars found

One of the biggest gold deposits ever discovered, valued at an estimated 80 billion dollars, has been uncovered by scientists in China.
This remarkable gold reserve was uncovered in Pingjiang County, in the Hunan province.
A whopping 40 gold deposits have been discovered, containing roughly 300 tonnes of gold buried 2,000 metres underground.
Following this discovery, researchers have started digging even deeper—down to 3,000 metres—in the hope of finding even more gold. According to the experts, a single gold deposit has an average of 138 grams of gold per tonne of ore.
To find the deposit, scientists applied 3D geological mapping technology, which allowed them to chart the region and pinpoint the areas with the highest gold content.
With this find, the Hunan province will likely become one of the world's leading gold markets shortly.
